Barbara Mashtare brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Olive The Beauty Lounge, having trained and worked at some of the most-well known and prestigious salons on the East Coast during the past 10 years. Her trendy cuts, exquisite coloring and stylish up dos have gained her a reputation of being the best in her field, and have taken her to top fashion cities like Chicago and New York for shows and training.

After graduating from Empire Beauty School in November 1999, Barbara began her career as an apprentice specializing in up dos at a well-known Pennsylvania salon. Barbara moved into a full-time position in the salon, and continued to gain experience in up dos as well as cut and color. Thanks to her natural talent, dedication to her work and passion to share what she had learned, Barbara was selected to be a network educator for Bumble and Bumble, where she trained other stylists, teaching product knowledge classes and blow drying techniques.

In her quest for constant learning, Barbara trained at the famous House of Bumble in blow drying and straight razor cutting, and also took coloring classes in New York, New York, at the Wella Studios. Barbara also trained in razor cutting with Christopher and Sonya Dove, widely recognized as two of the industry’s leading hairdressers. Moreover, while spending time perfecting her art of hairdressing, Barbara helped her salon plan and run a community event supporting breast cancer awareness.

Barbara recently relocated to the Dallas/Fort Worth area, bringing with her 10 years of hairdressing expertise, and her family of five – a husband, two daughters and a son.
